The ICDCSC is a widely attended meeting among scientists, clinicians and industries interested in advancing stem cell research to the clinical and application phases. The goal of the conference is to establish scientific guidelines for the self-renewal, differentiation, and translation of dental, oral and craniofacial [DOC] stem cells. With the vast advancements in the dynamic field of biology and biotechnology, this meeting is necessary in order to propagate and evolve knowledge of stem cells throughout the medical world.
There is a great interest in Dental Pulp Stem Cells [DPSC] due to their having MSCs phenotype and their inherent plasticity [they can be differentiated into neuron, cardiomyocytes, chondrocytes, osteoblasts, liver cells and β cells of islet and pancreas amongst tissue types] as well as their highly proliferative capabilities. Thus, DPSCs have great potential for use in regenerative medicine for the treatment of a broad range of disease, trauma and injury, including dental related problems.
